Unofficial Land of the Dead X-Fire and Intro Movies fix
(1) Removes startup movies
(2) Allows game to be started from X-Fire
(3) Included file patches any version of X-Fire to work completely with LOTD
Install included LEVELS and SYSTEM folders into your LOTD Folder
Install included dev_games.ini file into your X-Fire folder
Restart X-Fire
Use X-Fire to join your friends in game!
NOTE TO WINDOWS VISTA/7 XFIRE USERS
: The XFire data directory on Windows 7 is %PROGRAMDATA%\Xfire . For example, instead of storing the dev_games.ini file in \Program Files\XFire, on my system it is stored in \ProgramData\XFire
REALTEK HD SOUND
Install OpenAL from Creative Labs.
Install 3D SoundBack from RealTek.
Edit LOTD.INI, in the ALAudio section, set Use3DAudio=True, UseEAX=True, UseDefaultDriver=False
If using Windows 7, set 3D SoundBack to run in Vista compatibility mode
Run 3D Soundback, add your LOTD folder, and then Enable
SOUNDBLASTER X-FI/AUDIGY/ETC
Install OpenAL from Creative Labs
Install ALchemy from Creative Labs.
Perform same edits to LOTD.INI as for Realtek
Do basically same as for Realtek setup, but using ALchemy instead of 3D SoundBack
